Our Mission
Is Our Purpose
Every dog needs an angel by their side. An angel who will always be thinking of them, who will put their own interests aside for them, and who always keep them in their prayers.
They also need an angel who recognizes they are one of God’s greatest gifts to all mankind, and who understands the unconditional love they give to all.
Accordingly, they will always need an angel who will never forget the dogs that have been neglected, cast aside, or simply forgotten by society. What they need is their very own angel, an angel looking over the forgotten.
Karen Cooper
The Angel of The Forgotten
Karen Cooper’s love for dogs has shown throughout her entire life. From her first puppy when she was growing up in Cleveland Ohio, through the Great Pyrenees she had in San Diego California, her love for dogs has never waned.
Beyond contributing to countless charities, raising money for destroyed shelters, and helping dogs in every way that she could, each year she would do something very special.
Karen would fill up her vehicle with dog treats the week before Christmas, and deliver them to the local Humane Societies. Her goal was to ensure that on Christmas Day, as many dogs as possible would not be forgotten.
The good Lord called Karen home on May 26, 2023, but her family is ensuring that neither she nor her mission will be forgotten; The mission of ensuring that when the sun comes up every Christmas morning, the dogs that she so loves will realize there really is one angel that will never allow them to be forgotten.
Announcements
In December 2024, we were overjoyed to bring Christmas to over 4,000 shelter dogs across 26 shelters! You can relive the heartwarming moments through the videos and photos on our Facebook and Instagram accounts. This incredible achievement was made possible by the generosity of our donors and the hands-on support from a few Santa’s Helpers, and we are so grateful for everyone who made it happen.
This coming Christmas, we’re setting our sights even higher: we will be gifting joy to over 8,000 dogs across 56 shelters! We are pleased to honor all those who are helping us bring Christmas to the shelter dogs this year. You can see a complete listing of our Santa’s Helpers by visiting our Thank You page.
There’s still so much to do, and we need your help to make this year even more magical. You can support our Mission by donating to our 501(c)(3) tax-deductible charity, spreading the word to friends and family, and following us on Facebook and Instagram. Every contribution, big or small, brings us closer to filling tails and hearts with holiday cheer.
Thank you for being a part of our Mission and for helping us bring joy to shelter dogs everywhere!

Xoco’s top priority was picking out her favorite toy at San Diego Humane Society’s El Cajon campus. It was pure joy spreading holiday cheer to their sweet shelter dogs this Christmas, December 2024!

This holiday season, we kicked off 2024 gifting at the County of SD Department of Animal Services in Carlsbad and Bonita, delivering toys and treats for many shelter dogs. Zayn gave us a wag of approval, confirming our Santa sacks were pup-approved!

With Santa's help, we brought joy to 250 dogs at Baja Animal Sanctuary, northern Baja's only no-kill shelter, providing rescue, adoption, and lifelong care for animals in need. It warmed our hearts to see their happiness December 2024!
